Meet Cathy Yonaitis
Cathy Yonaitis has been teaching people how to move since 1996. It all started after she graduated with a degree in Occupational Therapy. She spent 12 years working in an inpatient hospital specializing in neurological rehabilitation, orthopedics, and acute care. She was mentored by some brilliant OT's, and PT's, her very first teachers. It was here that her love for people and her intuitive hands on approach began to flourish. She discovered Yoga in 2002, after her second son was born. She learned to integrate the techniques of yoga with her Occupational therapy approach, and people LOVED it.
She has taken multiple teacher trainings (over 3000 hours of training) and continues to explore and study current movement science as it relates to human health. She recently took two online trainings from Mindful Strength and The Yoga Detour, that pull from the worlds of weightlifting, somatics, FRC, and many other movement disciplines. Cathy's passion for yoga, strength, accessibility, and creating freedom in the body have fused together. Her students leave class feeling stronger, resilient, and inspired.
